Seven days into 2026

I keep circling the same fact because my brain refuses to accept it. It has only been seven fucking days. One week into 2026 and I already feel hollowed out, like my body clocked the danger before my mind could catch up. This is not ordinary exhaustion. This is the kind of fury that settles into your bones when you realize how quickly the machinery snaps back into place. One week was all it took for a sorry excuse of a government to resume committing international war crimes for oil, rebranded as strategy, necessity.. One week for a newly emboldened state gestapo to kill an innocent woman and rely on distraction, denial, and blind faith to wash her blood from the record. One week for the Epstein files to remain conveniently half-open and half-buried, quietly confirming what we already know: accountability is reserved for the people without money or power. And threaded through all of it is the same patronizing refrain. Calm down, that’s not what happened. Do not overreact. Lower your voice. As if anger is not the last sane reaction left in us.

I cannot shake a line from George Orwell’s 1984: “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential, command.” Because that is exactly the fascist bullshit being handed to us now, dressed up in official language and press releases. Do not call it murder. Call it protocol. Do not call it war crimes. Call it policy. Do not believe what you watched happen in real time. Believe the statement that tells you it did not happen the way you saw it. This is how reality gets sanded down. This is how people are trained to doubt themselves. A population that cannot trust its own eyes is easier to control, easier to lie to, easier to fucking break.

It’s been seven fucking days.
